Less than 5 months and Yardy is back in Blighty. Are we surprised?

This Yardy story is full of intrigue.
First, it originates from George Dobell, a journalist who enjoys chasing a 'scoop'. The story appeared on the ESPN.com website four days ago, yet was only published on the ESPNCricinfo site three days later which is a little surprising.
No other cricket publication has picked up on the story. There is nothing on Twitter including Jonathan Trott's page, the Kent coach Yardy is allegedly taking over from.
"If" the story is true as Dobell has not always been correct in the past with his scoops, then there are various possibilities why Yardy has left the prestigious New South Wales batting coach role after just 5 months. Family must be the number 1 reason (Chris Adams turned down the Irish Coaching job for a similar inference) and of course, there is Yardy's mental health vulnerability to consider.
As of now, there is no information of Yardy's departure on the New South Wales cricket or Kent CCC websites or, more surprisingly, on their supporter's Forum 'View From the Boundary'.
If Dobell is correct then a decent piece of journalism. If not...
Back at Sussex CCC, since Yardy's departure to Australia in July, why has no new batting coach been appointed, especially when the players themselves have asked for one?

I’m surprised Yardy went into coaching in the first place. Ive always thought him an odd character which was backed up after meeting him on numerous occasions when he was coaching at school level. Hardly spoke at all and when he did it was with little or no authority or conviction. Not sure if that was because he was shy or perhaps a little dim?
I’d put him in the same bracket as Kieth Greenfield, jobs given out for loyalty and because cricket was the only thing they were half decent at.

"Yards where are you, where are you?" (as tumbleweed floats across Canterbury)
Here we are over 3 weeks on and still no news about the "alleged scoop" by ESPNCricinfo journo, George Dobell, that Michael Yardy is leaving his coaching job at New South Wales after only 5 months and returning to Blighty to be the new batting overseer at Kent where he will support the County's Head Coach Matt Walker.
Hearsay coming from the Hove County Ground is mixed. A few who reckon the scoop is correct are stating that Yardy is returning because "He's homesick!" As for Jonathan Trott, the present Kent batting coach, who is in South Africa commentating on the present England cricket series, there has been no comment.
Some scoops are correct, others not. We may have to wait until the start of the county season before an answer arrives.
