I always thought this was a rule change that didn't offer great benefits to the County Championship. It has been announced that for the 2020 season, the two captains will have stretch their legs and walk out to the middle for every game.

It has been announced that for the 2020 season, the two captains will have stretch their legs and walk out to the middle for every game. I thought it was an interesting idea, intended to incentivise the home team to prepare a "fair" wicket. Maybe it didn't have the desired effect? |
