Thought it was strange that he wasn’t brought on till about 6th change, I thought he’d open the bowling. Having said that, he didn’t make much of an impact and never looked particularly threatening.
Always a question mark when a player who should be in their prime moves from a top flight club to a smaller one. I know he’s had injury problems but he’s never been a regular for Surrey and you have to ask why.
I hope I’m proven wrong today and he steps up and leads from the front.
