I don't know how long it's going to be possible to sustain this solution for. Ten days previously it was announced that there will be a new ODI 'Super Series' to be held annually between England, India, Australia and one other team, commencing next year. And 13 days after the ECB statement comes the news that this year's IPL will be the longest ever at 57 days, up six from last year. Complex scheduling needs and player workloads abhor a vacuum! Might need to look at 3-day Tests.
