There's a nice story on the BBC website today about cricket in Germany. You can find it here. It tells the story of how Abdul Shakoor, who left his home in northern Pakistan and attempted to reach England. He ended up in Germany and now, five years after his arrival in Germany, opens the batting for his new home nation. I hadn't thought about it much, but I guess there may be more escapees, who have arrived in Europe and will start playing cricket in their newly-adopted countries. Now to set the field - Dritte Mann for the thick edges along the ground, erster Ausrutscher for those nicks that are too wide of the keeper, lange auf and lange weg to protect the spinners, kurzes Bein for the bat-pad chances, feines Bein for the bowlers who stray down the leg side, tiefes quadratisches Bein for the hook, tiefes rückwärtiges quadratisches Bein if the hook is more likely to be behind square, Kuhecke for T20 games, tiefe Rinne for well-hit cuts and (my favourite) dummer Punkt when the ball is turning sharply.

To answer the question - Neun. Neun all out.

To answer the question - Neun. Neun all out. 9 all out? I think Herr Shakoor will have higher aspirations when opening than that.
