Good luck to Bopara.
He still has the skills to perform well in the T20.
The problem I had with him was his inability to give more to the younger players outside of the actual match. He has lots of experience which he should have made more effort to pass on in nets and middle practice.
We can't afford these type of mercenaries.
Good decision by Farbrace to release him.

He was also an awful captain.
Did well for us last year but can understand why he was released.

I’m not decrying the decision to release him but we do have an experience deficit in our T20 squad, so if Bopara thrives while we flounder this year, it’s not going to look good to Sussex supporters.
