Yepp, only played a couple of games in 2000.
If memory is right Sussex were looking for a keeper to replace Wilton and Humphreys.
Sussex decided to have faith with 2 young keepers called Prior and Ambrose and the rest they say is history.

So sad to read this 😢 Yes was trialled and then signed during 2000 as we wanted a keeper who could bat as well and he’d impressed ok the second team. Didn’t work out unfortunately and he, Hunphries and three others were released in August that year.
