I'm reading a John Grisham book, Camino Island (bit boring), but the theme is stolen manuscripts by F Scott Fitzgerald, and Hemingway's name came up, the author who fought for the commies in the Spanish civil war, It mentions that he'd married 4 times and "had a kinky side."

Stan Laurel, born in UK in the 19th century like Tom Major-Ball, and both emigrated to USA and performed in music halls.

Mike Baldwin was nearly 40 when he married Ken's daughter. His next marriage to Jackie lasted all of a week! His 3rd marriage to Alma was the most successful although that union's duration was only 7 years and his 4th and final one to his factory operative, Linda, was a complete farce.
Good bloke Mike, a bit of a rogue, both in his private and professional life but with redeeming characteristics including a wicked sense of humour.
RIP

David Bailey. "David who"?
Yup, who can forget those iconic adverts of the 1980s with the legendary photographer (who nobody had ever heard of until then) even though he did hobnob with the appalling Krays, where he promoted the Olympus Trip, then some other Olympus model (AF10?) followed by the Olympus Autofocus. Good old Arfur Daley was one of the hapless fall guys with his SLR rigmarole. A bit like those old boys with all their clobber down at Hydney Lake where I fish.
But did Bailey really use those cameras bearing in mind they didn't have interchangeable lenses so he could zoom in sufficiently or get a wide enough angle when taking his shots, nor could he use filters to adapt light for the conditions? I've got doubts myself.
Anyway he'll be celebrating his 35th anniversary this year on his 4th marriage so this one will probably go the distance.

Barbara Amiel, journalist, married to her 4th husband multi millionaire Conrad Black who had his own fall from grace.
Like Ghislaine Maxwell, another Jewish woman who emigrated to America, she too knew what it was like to be an outcast of High Society.

If your lack of geographical knowledge belies your intelligence it doesn't bode well for the rationale in your secular beliefs.

George Galloway has been married four times. In 1979, he married Elaine Fyffe, with whom he has a daughter, Lucy (born 1982). The couple separated in 1987 and divorced in 1999. In 1994, Galloway married Dr Amineh Abu-Zayyad, a biologist of Palestinian origin, in a non-legally binding Islamic ceremony; a legally binding civil ceremony followed in March 2000. Abu-Zayyad was granted a divorce in February 2009, after an estrangement of several years, on the grounds of "unreasonable behaviour"; her petition was not contested. Galloway married Rima Husseini, his former researcher, in a non-legally binding Islamic ceremony in 2005.Galloway had two sons, Zein (born 2007) and Faris (born 2011), with Husseini, who is from Lebanon. On 31 March 2012, he married his fourth wife, Indonesian anthropologist Putri Gayatri Pertiwi, in an Islamic ceremony in Amsterdam.
