Is this the most bizarre story of the year when some public school official seems to think it's a game to belt his teenage son round the head and then invite his son to reciprocate? I know the scale of dementia caused by blows to the head and which is adversely affecting footballers and rugby players before old age had not been widely known when this incident occurred but even so!
And there was me thinking we lived in a snowflake age when people took offence at booing because of grandstanding by players over a racist incident in another country, where the rainbow flag is hoisted high on Eton buildings (fair enough they did invent fagging) and householders were prosecuted for injuring a burglar trespassing on their property.
I know private schools have always had their eccentrics together with quirky customs but this must take the biscuit.
