Just noticed this on BBC website. Well desrved inclusion for Ed Joyce & Steve Magoffin. Haven't been able to make-up a link on my mobile. XI is as follows;
Adam Lyth Daryl Mitchell Ed Joyce Riki Wessels Sam Hain Adil Rashid Sam Billings Jeetan Patel Michael Hogan Steve Magoffin Jack Brooks
Seem to have been nominated by BBC commentators

XI is as follows; Adam Lyth Daryl Mitchell Ed Joyce Riki Wessels Sam Hain Adil Rashid Sam Billings Jeetan Patel Michael Hogan Steve Magoffin Jack Brooks Seem to have been nominated by BBC commentators And here is the Dodgy one's nominated team, from cricinfo liveblog.espncricinfo.com/Event/Lv_County_Championship_Friday_September_26_2014George Dobell's County Team of the Year Ok, so I was allowed 1 overseas player. It is a team for all competitions but with some weighting given to the Championship. Lyth Mitchell (to captain that Worcestershire side into Div One is a truly wonderful achievement) Hales Joyce Vince (Taylor was close and Trott misses out only cos he didn’t play much T20) Stevens (could have gone quite a few different ways with this one) Read (Ambrose and Billings were close) Jordan (Plunkett was close) Jeetan Patel (Ajmal and Magoffin were close. Patel wins as he contributed with the bat and plays all formats.) Footitt Brooks. On Edit: You have to stand back and marvel at the sheer gall of that Trott comment, to say nothing of the closeness of Ambrose as a wicketkeeping choice.

Paradoxically, what discredits the Dodgy one's selection is not so much the Warwickshire content as the bizarre selection of a Sussex name.
This is supposed to be a county team of the season, so what is Jordan doing there? He played five LVCC games, just three T20 games and I don't think he appeared in the RLC at all. Yet Jordan gets in ahead of Magoffin, whose 72 wkts in the LVCC were more than any other seamer in the land?
Chris Jordan is one of my favourite players. But I'm afraid his meagre eight appearances in a Sussex shirt and 28 wkts across the three competitions doesn't get anywhere near making my county team of the season!

In Dobell's team, I was staggered to read he chose Jordan over Magoffin. Absolutely amazed at that decision! I think the BBC team of the season is spot on.
