I don't recall this being discussed recently, so thought it was time to air the subject again:
There are many flowers with four petals, including the following:
Dogwood
California Poppy
Some forms of Clematis
Potentilla
Lilac
Can you think of any more?

I've been down to Hydneye Park yesterday with my 6 year old grandson who's got the fishing bug after I bought him an Argos fishing rod recommended by Matt Hayes. Only a 10 minute walk from my house and where the Park Run is also held (although suspended due to lockdown).
He's got the hang of casting, knows about floats and hooks, but not yet comprehending bulk shot and plumbing the depth. We didn't catch anything but the 2 old boys on the same swim caught a pike which grabbed his attention. Plenty of rudd, roach, bream and trench also in the lake.
No nature reserve there so not really a place to peruse flowers but there is a play area with swings and slides etc.

Suggest you start a new thread "Teaching grandchildren to fish" - that should reel the punters in.
