An reopening of unresolved cold case Billie-Jo J, a 13 year old schoolgirl who lived in Hastings who was murdered at home in 1997.
Her foster father was tried twice and was found guilty but the verdict was declared unsafe after a 3rd trial. The case for Sion Jenkins was that he only had a 3 minute window to commit the crime but I can't help feeling luck may have been on his side when the conviction was quashed.
The man lied to secure his Deputy Head job at William Parker school, not a little white lie but massive whoppers. His wife left him with their daughters shortly after to emigrate over 10,000 miles away wanting nothing more to do with him. I know a teacher friend (from Ebne CC) who taught in Hastings at a different sec school to Jenkins but the teaching profession had a theory of why SJ had motive which I can't reveal, and it's only hearsay, but this guy does seem to have had issues.
Anyway, let's hope advances in forensics and DNA brings a definitive outcome as to the perpetrator of this mystery.

Escape to the Country featured a martial arts fanatic (bore) from Uckfield wanting to move to Norfolk, house viewing with one of his daughters, not wife. Furthermore his misses didn't even want to be on camera in the preview showing their home life in their current town, weird or what? Caught the beginning of this programme yesterday, and this couple with the very inarticulate woman's mother and kids were escaping to somewhere commutable to Kettering and the first place they looked at was a plush house in Wymondham, Norfolk. The monumentally thick woman presenter pronounced it as Why-Mond-Um, instead of Wind-Um.
