Brilliant batsman, but how good a keeper was Rohan Kanhai? You could replace him with Clyde Walcott: 3798 runs 220 HS 56.68 av 15 hundreds 53 ct 11 st

Good shout. I was torn between Lloyd and Haynes because although Lloyd is arguably the better batsman the only recognised openers were Gayle, Haynes and Greenidge. Leaving out Garner and Holding wasn't an easy decision.

I reckon the all-time West Indies 2nd XI would have rather useful pace attack. Who would fancy facing Roberts, Holding and Garner?
What about Kallicharan? Dujon as keeper?

Both George Headley and Everton Weekes would make an all time best ever WI XI ahead of Haynes and Chanderpaul.
An all time Australian XI must be least subjective; Hayden Ponting Bradman G Chappell Smith Miller Gilchrist Lindwall Warne Lilley McGrath

West Indies draw their cricket team from 6 countries or technically Independent Commonwealth Nations. Back in the late 70s and 80s Barbados, a nation with a population of just 250,000 people could produce a fast bowling attack of Marshall, Sylvester Clarke, Wayne Daniel and Garner. That's a stronger pace attack than any cricketing country in the world at that time.
It's akin to Millwall a little London club with a following of 5,000 for home games being the most feared football hooligans in the country in the same era.

I had Taylor (needed a second opener), Border, Steve Waugh and Jeff Thomson in place of Chappell, Smith (Bradman averages almost 100 and Border, Ponting and Waugh have over 10,000 test runs), Miller and Lindwall (Lillee and Thomson were a formidable partnership).
