I agree. It certainly wasn’t a great shot and it’s not the first time, but I think it at least arguable that in these conditions today it might be better to throw the bat at everything rather than wait for one with your name on it. 

Of course i want to see him do well but that doesnt mean any one is void of criticism because we are fans.

His shot 2 balls before the new ball last week was inexplicable. I think he's a young batsmen more suited to the white ball game but more than capable in all formats. It probably wasnt good for his confidence after 2 40's dropping him down to 7. He'll bounce back im sure.

Not so much because they’ve all got scores this season and can defend their wicket which Rawlins seems incapable of doing. Yes he looks good when everything comes off but how many times does that happen? Not enough to warrant a place in the side. He’s averaging 15.5, Garton at No7 is averaging 32.5.

I would suggest that they exploited the conditions well. It did look as if the ball was seaming around at the start of the innings but they’ve put the ball in the right areas. 

Let’s hope Robinson and Meaker can emulate.
