Tomorrow's weather forecast suggests there will be play, but with a potential of the odd rain shower. Even so, the idea that Sussex can bat out the day to gain a draw seems rather far-fetched, even miraculous. We shall see. www.bbc.co.uk/weather/2641430

I’d go with that, has to be 5 batsmen and Garton at 7, though once Jordan is available, he bats 7, Garton 8...and I would put Salt at 5 once he’s fit again?

It’s a huge ask to bat out 3 sessions when we’re already 4 down but if we can limit the damage and come out of the game with a draw it would be a great result. The other two games in our group are heading for a draw so we’d not be too far behind. If we lose the game, which is more likely, we’ll be playing catch-up.
As for the game against Kent, we don’t want Archer to play if he’s unable to bowl his quota. It might be an England warm-up game for him but it’s a must win for Sussex and we need our strongest side out.

Here, potentially, is a great opportunity for Rawlins to prove his doubters wrong. A good test to see if he can occupy the crease. We know he has the talent, now apply it.

That’s it, lost by an innings and 120 runs.
A sobering defeat against a side we’d have been hoping to beat.
Not too many positives to take away from this one.

Our excellent start to the season ends with a sound like this. www.youtube.com/watch?v=LG_GOGDnqqsIan Salisbury says after the match: I don’t like losing. We had our pants pulled down here. Fair play to their two lads with 19 wickets between them. They hit the top of off really well which outside of Ollie Robinson we didn’t do well enough. You can’t get bowled out for 106 and barely 200. There weren’t too many demons in the pitch second time around.
Yes, they bowled well but you have to recognise the two bowlers you have to get through. They aren’t bowling 90mph or mystery but just good honest bowlers. Did we sell our wickets dearly enough? From the sidelines it didn’t like we did. Whenever you have a loss it is good to get back on the horse. I can’t wait for the next game now. We’ll be looking at how we can win the next game.

Poor. Play your strongest side and play players who have come in and done well. I remember being 19/20 - young men don't need to be rested, they're fitter than anyone.
Rawlins is a one-day player, pretty good one too. We all know that. Give another youngster a chance if Salt can't come in yet.
Put this one to bed, move on to the Kent game, and play your damn best players.
