Salty & George are on fire at the moment, long May it continue. Good to see Bopara contributing too.

Tymal Mills rested in the last match because he can’t play back to back games because of his back! We’ve got Bopara only playing white ball and completely under performing as he did yesterday. Then we’ve got a specialist T20 bowler who can’t bowl more than 4 overs in 2 days! Why are we wasting money and pandering to these players? They can’t be cheap! Didn’t need them yesterday, don’t need them today but I bet they both play, as will Rawlins and Head but at least they play red ball too. Tymal must be in a bad way. Time for him to retire.He is taking a youngster's place. Bopara came with a big profile. Able to bowl in 2s games, but not when it matters in the 1s. Bowl tonight Bopara or leave. Rawlins, superb fielder, needs to show some game management. We all want him to do well, but the frustration is building. If he can't learn, let him go. Time for Head to turn up. Looking forward to a Sussex win. Well done Sussex. Some stand out contributions. Still worried about Tymal. Couldn't Atkins do a job here. Well done Bopara, 1 over and runs. Has to keep it going. Head showed signs of his class. Rawlins excellent fielding, keep going. Would like to know the joint wage bill for Tymal, Head and Bopara. |

Awesome George, England have missed a trick by not including him in their latest T20 squad. Great opportunity to get him in ahead of the numerously dropped Willey. Super Salt would be in any other England team too, but it's a good one. Unlike the test one, which is the worst batting line-up I've seen in my very short life. Look at the numbers of Burns, Sibley, Crawley and Pope - very lucky to be there. Garton at seven would have been a better option than what they went with.
We do look like a top team in this and that's missing Wright, Khan, Robinson and Archer. Garton has absolutely everything in this form.

If a player is only going to play one format out of three they need to perform in it. We are allowed to release players especially if they are not performing. There are at least 6/7 players who I would seriously question whether we are currently getting value for money out of them. With all the multi year contract announcements recently I lose track on where people's contract are but if Garton and Salt contracts are up this year they need extending! |
