Sussex have had three run chases and three wins in this season's T20 Blast; Surrey have had two run chases and also have a 100% record from three games. As they say, something's gotta give, assuming the storms don't come at the wrong time.
Like Sussex, Surrey have been in good form with the bat so far. They amassed 223 against Middlesex in their first game, a total that Middlesex got nowhere near reaching. In their second game, they impressively chased down a target of 188 at Taunton to beat Somerset by 7 wickets. Their more recent game was a closer game as they beat Glamorgan's total of 166 with 5 wickets down and ten balls to spare.
The runs have been shared around, although Jason Roy has passed 50 on two occasions. However, the most impressive innings was a score of 70 in just 24 balls from Will Jacks who hammered the Middlesex attack until he was run out. Wickets have been shared around with Sam Curran being the most effective of the bunch.
Last season, Surrey beat Sussex by 4 wickets in a close game at The Oval. Can Sussex keep up their impressive start? We are just going to have to wait and see, I guess.
Table (before games played on Wed 16)
Sussex P3 6 Pts Surrey P3 6 Pts Kent P4 6 Pts Somerset P3 2 Pts Glamorgan P3 2 Pts Gloucestershire P3 2 Pts Hampshire P4 2 Pts Essex P4 2 Pts Middlesex P3 2 Pts
Southern Group Fixtures
Glamorgan v Kent (Wednesday) Middlesex v Gloucestershire (Thursday)

Ollie Robinson comes into the squad for Mitch Claydon, otherwise unchanged.
The forecast was looking dodgy but I think we may now get a full game in.
Given the overheads perhaps Robinson for Lenham?

I can't believe the game given the amount of rain that has fallen on the Kent/Sussex borders. However, I see that the Middlesex is in full swing at Radlett. Anyone have a weather outlook for The Oval and ground conditions?
It's also remarkably quiet on here today. This is a big game. Win this and we are well on the way to the next stages.

Start delayed. Looks as if we were ready to go but 10 mins ago the covers came on. Looks more like drizzle than rain, hopefully not too much of a delay.
Sussex win the toss and bowl first. Team unchanged.

Such a shame. Never mind Somerset tomorrow night. Will Mills play? Will this be his last season? Young Lenham took a seriously good catch. Travis dropped one.
Who will move aside for Khan?

A point gained or a point lost? Against Surrey happier with the point gained. Probably another point tomorrow too, given the weather forecast.

Who will move aside for Khan? Travis Head as you cannot play three overseas player and Khan and Wiese were supposed to be the two overseas players for this competition.

It was a shame, had the makings of a great game. We play Surrey again on 27th at Hove. Tonights game could also be a washout looking at the forecast unfortunately. Lots of hype around Mills because he can bowl fast. No point bowling fast if you’re not accurate though plus he tends to get more wickets with his slower ball. I’m not a big fan and think he’s an expensive luxury we could easily do without. Head would have to move aside for Khan because we already have Wiese as an overseas.
