With Lenham and now Ibrahim signing multi year pro contracts at 17 it does make me wonder whether they’ve earned it.
It used to be a player had to have a couple of good seasons in the 2’s and the odd 1st team game before these contracts were handed out.
They are both very talented lads but at just 17 you’re not seeing the final product, far from it. I just hope they haven’t peaked too early.

I would add to that players move between counties more freely these days, so I suspect it's an attempt to keep our best youngsters out of the clutches of other counties (no names!). |

Damn straight Joe. More like a cookie contract. Yeah? I would love a cookie contract. What's the deal on the milk though.
Anywho, as long as we don't judge them too quickly and release them so readily, like we did with H-P and Whacko, to name two, it's all good. Long term investments so treat them that way.
