Surely Tom Haines through his championship scores this season and Salt and Garton through their England call up surely now must regarded as a key part of the Sussex squad and therefore deserve to be awarded their county cap?

I agree, but wonder if county caps have gone out of fashion, or become an anachronism?

I agree, but wonder if county caps have gone out of fashion, or become an anachronism? Notts have given county caps this season to Clarke, Moores and Slater.

And how long have they been at Notts? A while and they're more senior. I think Flash is right - cracked it at last Flash, county caps mean nothing these days. Absolutely nothing.
