Here is Paul Joseph Watson's video take on sports/mental ill-health in general, using the recent example of American gymnast Simone Biles, as his introduction. I keep an open mind on the subject as each person is an individual and therefore each mental ill-health problem is different.www.subscribestar.com/posts/387936Spot on. That's why each case requires professional diagnosis, just as with physical illness.

Biles is out of the public eye preparing for the Olympics for months, jacks halfway through then comes back before it's over - some refresh that was. Peaty completes his Olympics a winner then jacks playing the card when a rest was coming anyway - just take your obligatory rest. Osaka jacks cos of press coverage then appears all over magazine features. And Stokes, why come back if your finger hasn't healed? Who brought him back with an injury? Or is that more rubbish? Very fishy. I disagree that it's all individual, they're all very similar, they all have a clever agent. 2/300% pay-rises in the making.

A mental illness is just as valid as a physical injury and should be treated the same. There are many examples in cricket where it’s all got too much for players mentally, Trescothic, Trott and our very own Michael Yardy spring to mind. It’s not a weakness to admit to it, it’s self preservation. Suicide is the biggest killer of men between the ages of 18-30. Exactly. And it is an illness, and there is so much to promote awareness of and educate people on. Don’t expect LS to understand though, he’s already let himself down on the Stuart Meaker thread.

Here's a question for those tempted to criticise Stokes- how should we treat mental illness when it stops you doing your job properly? a) Tell them to pull themselves together. b) Sack them. c) Get a doctor to diagnose their condition. d) Other Very nicely done👍👏

You don't know my mental state. I'm upset today cos I forgot to get some asparagus from Morrisons. Yeah it might not seen like much to you but it is to me. And watching Burns and Sibley bat for England isn't helping either.

It's basic, stupid and pointless. Although I don't wanna upset Flash for his stupid basic pointless post cos I don't know what sort of day he's having. He might have forgot his asparagus too. Or something similar. Probably lentils and seeds.

Making fun of someone else by pretending to have mental health issues. What a classy person. Not.

I wasn't pretending to have mental health issues, I was pretending to be p****d off. You know, like Stokes, Peaty and all these other wet flannels are. Not! Did I do that right? I've forgot how 90s sarcasm works. Not!

You know what - I don't even accept you have the right to be pissed off because a gymnast, a cricketer, a swimmer or anyone else decided to prioritise their mental health over their work. Who the f*** do you think you are?

Oh it's been revealed through an intimate feature by the Sun that Peaty is to appear on a very famous show indeed. I'm astonished that a mental health doctor would prescribe glossy red-top features from inside your family home and an appearance on a Strictly Come Dancing to deal with mental illness, I really am. Unless his doctor is his agent?
I'll be down the bookies later having a bet on him winning the dancie thing, so long as Stokes, Biles or Osaka aren't in it. He's a shoe-in what with all the work his agent has put in. Money money money, it's a rich man's world.

After watching a painfully pathetic Osaka interview I now know why she keeps crying - she's about six. The girl is mentally about six. And like any six year old if you don't get your own way you cry. She really is a child, just listen to her. Like, send her home by tea time and like, give her a cup of warm milk and like, send her to bed, literally. Err... whatever.

These days Stokes's role in the team is similar to that of Mike Brearley for his Captaincy abilities.
The role of all round talisman seems a distant memory with his bowling and batting displays crowded out by the specialists and he's there as a bits and pieces player.
