I agree, Mrs D, that the rights to a domestic Test series would have to be sold as a block to a single broadcaster, and I'm confident that Tom Harrison , as a seasoned professional in TV sports rights, will recognise that, too.
The growth area for TV cricket coverage lies in the T20 Bash, where 75 per cent of last season's 126 group stage matches were not televised by anyone. Contrast that with IPL, CPL and Aussie bash in which every game is televised. That is where Tom Harrison will seek to double-sell, I'm sure. One would also hope that BT could be persuaded to take an interest in four day county cricket, which Sky has turned its back on.
As for the unloved, unlovely, unwanted and unecessary Royal London Cup, Sky and Bt Sport might find themselves fighting over who shouldn't take it!
