Another nail in the sport's coffin, sadly. I've been a speedway fan for most of my life, although I haven't attended many meetings in recent years. IMO, the Eastbourne track is too tight and small for the best racing; also the attendances have been low in recent years - the current management hoped to break even with regular crowds of only 800. Maybe other tracks will survive, but the British league structure may continue to limp along, so long as there are enough owners willing to subsidise their club, hooked by an undying love of their sport. I could go on, but I'm not sure how much interest there is on this forum. Just look at the size of the Wembley crowd in this 1967 Newsreel: www.youtube.com/watch?v=dOf1faSgS9Y

What way? There you go Flash, it's people like you who hammered in the nails. If you like it support it. If you don't, be a tit like me and take the p**s.
