At the risk of going off piste and returning to the origin of this thread, I am absolutely flummoxed at the action of the current management of YCCC in summarily sacking 16 of their backroom staff, including doctors, physios etc.
It smacks of a knee jerk reaction without consideration of disciplinary procedures, the trashing of professional reputations, the potential consequences - financial and otherwise - to a club already heavily in debt, not to say disruption of the players. You might almost conclude the club (wrongly) thought they were purging a Chapter of the KKK.
The club may have factored in the compensation payable to the 16 in their decision for what has all the hallmarks of Unfair Dismissal, but such is the apparent nature of the dismissals, those involved may well seek Orders for Reinstatement, which when not complied with simply adds to the compensation. I would certainly expect them to refuse to settle without a grovelling apology from the club absolving them from any taint of personal racism.
There is currently an Employment Tribunal hearing backlog in excess of 12 months, so any contested proceedings will stay in the media spotlight for at least 18 months. Just what you need to encourage sponsors and new players.
All beyond comprehension.

Asked if he had seen or heard anything inappropriate during all his time at Yorkshire, he said: “I’m not sure I did.
