Media and Twitterati raving about Kate's piano playing at that carol concert as if it was some difficult movement of a Prokofiev piano concerto rather than hitting a few crochets in simple time on a piece 10 times easier than the Moonlight Sonata. The sort of thing my daughter could have mastered when she was studying grade 2 all those years ago. Like the man hitting a few boundaries off his son's prep school cricket bowling attack in the Fathers match (do these quaint traditions still exist?) and being lauded for his cricketing talent.

Wasn't that blind 13 year old girl with cerebral palsy or some severe neurological disorder playing Chopin's Nocturnia on The Piano an out of this world feat seeing as she can only learn by putting her hands over her tutor's as he hits the ivories. No wonder people were wiping their eyes.
Only Rain Man who has autism and handicapped by cognitive and physical disabilities can match her unique abilities for displays of talent.
