No way was that Denstone's 1st XI put out against the Preston boys. More like their 3rds with the batsmen given a chance to bowl when they had secured victory judging by the standard towards the end. Where was star player Adlan who looks a bit older than 16? Posh old school where the facilities seemed to exceed Bedes and EB College from what I saw. You'll be interested to know that the best man of my wedding over 40 years ago who lives just outside Ashbourne in Derbyshire sent his 2 kids there, although back in late 70s/80s he seemed pretty opposed to private education.
