Yeah. Well I've got shares in Centrica and BP and despite these "obscene" profits they're trading well below the share price I bought them which was before the covid pandemic. So for all the hype about shareholder dividends, wretched Centrica have only just reinstated them after a 3 year hiatus! Furthermore we're talking just a piddly 1p dividend per share.
BP are investing heavily in renewable energy and as far as I'm concerned these profits of which the govt receive a considerable sum in VAT to help reduce the budget deficit are a long time coming and shareholders should be getting a better dividend pay out than they are currently receiving!!
