Cafe Nerro - Their coffees have an overall smaller sugar content than others. They have quite a good bonus system for getting a freebie. If you collect nectar points these can be redeemed quite reasonably in exchange for a drink, eg 350 points which is £1.75 in monetary value can get you a drink priced twice as much. They play classical music rather than musak or mind numbing pop drivel.
Avoid Starbucks. Very woke especially celebrating (gay) Pride nonsense. No bonus offers on their drinks. A high sugar content in their liquid offerings.

Fred and Mabel’s Corner Cafe is best. You can stand your spoon up in the tea due to the amount of sugar. They play heavy rock music all day with Mantovani on Sundays, interspersed with tracks from the Musak from Hotel Lifts Around the World album. All customers take the knee as they enter the cafe. Most enjoyable.

Since Waitrose have reintroduced their free coffee for any purchase no matter how small, has been inspiring. I've really made use of it, probably more than any other shop customer. Their cappuccino and latte definitely pass the taste test. I press the button twice to accommodate 2 drinks in my large mug such is my caffeine addiction.

My friend got locked in a coffee place overnight. Now he only ever goes into Starbucks, not the rivals. He’s Costa-phobic. I heard you friend got on to the roof and scaled down the wall. You could call ‘im an ‘ero. Any more Edinburgh Festival jokes? |
