Yesterday on BBC1 I watched Call The Midwife and Happy Valley (a misnomer if ever there was one) for the first time ever, both full of pc boll*x which I expected, that underpinned the narratives in both programmes, although the corrupt pharmacist in the latter was a man of Asian descent, but virtually all the men seen were portrayed in a negative, demeaning light. Quite how this insidious indoctrination helps to promote a wider coherent society in life is beyond me.
One bright note is that the middle class, new age, tofu eating warriors of Extinction Rebellion have put their self-defeating disruptive tactics on hold which sends out a positive note to the government that rather than engaging with rebels and strikers, best policy is to ignore them. If the militant employees in the public sector really are hard up can they afford to endlessly protest for inflation busting pay demands while sacrificing salary when walking out once the strike money runs out? Probably not so the govt can sit it out to win the day.
