As Longstop doesnt seem to be around much and im unable to do it on the Polls thread i thought i'd whack it up here.
How do you think we do this season with the squad Grubby Built now being marshalled by an Elite coach.

I think the batting will be fine with Pujara and the young players still improving. The bowlers need to stay fit. Who would be your first choice 4 seamers with Carson as the spinner? I reckon 5th.

Assuming we see very little of Robinson and Archer, and also assuming everyone is fit, then our first choice seamers could be Garton, McAndrew, Karvelas and Hudson-Prentice with Currie and Finn next in line. Not too shabby but yes, bowler fitness is definitely the key to our season.

According to a recent interview, Ollie Robinson is set to play the first CC game and potentially another 3 or 4 before The Ashes.

That’s good and I hope we get to see a little of Archer playing for us this year too. Although promotion feels like too big a leap to ask for, I think we can finish in the top 4.

It would be excellent if Robinson gets a run of games at the start of the season because later in the year taking twenty wickets in a game is going to be a challenge. I doubt that we will see very much of Archer at all as England will keep him in bubble wrap for the Ashes. I am hopeful of some improvement on last year. Until we are regularly bowling sides out it’s hard to get too carried away.

We've our front line spinner back and we'll get useful overs out of Ibrahim and Haines too. I'm expecting the team to get promoted.
