Just heard Bopara awarded his County cap. Disgrace. The Club really has no backbone or morals. Mills also awarded his county cap even though he cannot play two games in two days. I couldn't agree more. The club needs a complete overhaul from top to bottom. We are a joke. The only plus point has been Crocombe. |

Just as we start to apply a bit of pressure, apply the squeeze and start to push the run rate down... our overseas come on and undo all the good work. 18 from Shadab's over and 19 from McAndrew. I am surprised Bopara gave Shadab a third over, given his first two went for twenty. Yet, one of the few positives so far of this sorry campaign, Henry Crocombe, whose two overs have gone for just twelve, plus he has taken the two wickets to fall, unlikely to bowl out. Seven wides and four no balls. We really don't help ourselves. I think Tymal and Crocombe will bowl out the last 4. |

Correction.
Crocombe now back on.
Hopefully, Bopara will bowl him all his four and resist going back to McAndrew or Shadab.
...and he gets his third wicket 🤗🤗🤗.

Although, in my defence if McAndrew had bowled a half decent third over, I am not sure Crocombe would have been bowled out. I know it's a decent wicket, but we really needed more from our most experienced bowlers. As you quite rightly point out, the Essex match aside where he picked up 3-28, so far Shadab has been another disappointing overseas signing. I feel we should cut McAndrew a bit of leeway given he is not only coming back from missing the last three matches but has made a significant contribution to our red ball campaign. |

It is just my view and others may disagree, but I feel you should at least have to represent your County in a minimum number of First Class matches before even being considered for a County Cap. |

I appreciate scoreboard pressure plays a part, but they have bowled so much better than we did.
Even more disappointing, it isn't as if they have a particularly strong or threatening bowling line up.
That is also before you take into account they have put a couple of catches down.
