Listening to the BBC Commentary, sounds like one of our best batting performances of the season in the competition. Just our luck it is on a pay for view stream. Bopara playing an outstanding innings, although there seems to be a suggestion he was responsible for the run out of Clark. Biggest question is will the match see a result given the weather conditions. Having been there I can confirm that: - Bopara played an exceptional innings (mostly with orthodox strokes); - Yes, he didn't answer Clark's call (but it was a pretty suicidal run...) & - Yes, the weather did allow Sussex to win. |

Can somebody enlighten me as to why every team doesn’t play each other home and away ? That would seem the fairest system and plain common sense. Is it fixture congestion caused by the wretched Hundred…… Spot on Rob. Div 1 CC sides don't play each other twice either. It is absolute nonsense; and whoever is responsible should be sacked. It undermines both the T20 and CC div 1 championship. It must be the 100, which seems to be the un-moveable monster. Even the Ashes test match fixture schedule has suffered. Rant over. Not looking forward to the 100. |
