We still have a mathematical chance of taking a quarter final spot but the chances are slim.
We have 6 players who are almost certain to play.
Bopara Khan Mills Burgess Currie Ward
Who the other 5 will be is anyone’s guess but I’m hoping they give Foreman a go.

I think McAndrew will play unless there are any lingering injury concerns.

Who's paying the £6 for the Kent stream then?

Who's paying the £6 for the Kent stream then? I’m thinking about it, don’t think it’s a bad price considering what you’d pay for a ticket to sit in the cold at the ground tonight. I think eventually all the smaller grounds will adopt this, it makes sense to get as much revenue as you can out of every game. Sussex will have to improve their livestream before they charge for it though, it’s one of the worst around.

Can’t believe we keep playing FHP!
78 runs from 8 innings 2 wickets @111 with an economy of 13

We’ve lost the toss and bat first.
Same team except McAndrew comes in for Coles.

Listening to the BBC Commentary, sounds like one of our best batting performances of the season in the competition. Just our luck it is on a pay for view stream.
Bopara playing an outstanding innings, although there seems to be a suggestion he was responsible for the run out of Clark.
Biggest question is will the match see a result given the weather conditions.

Fortunately the rain relented. Three T20 wins in a row! I wonder if anyone on this forum was expecting that.

The irony is if we can comfortably beat Gloucestershire tomorrow and Surrey and Somerset beat Essex and Kent respectively by large margins on Sunday, consequently causing a significant turnaround in net run rates, we qualify for the quarter finals. Extremely unlikely, yet again after winning only one of our first six matches and at this point still having an outside chance to qualify, you just never know.

I wonder if anyone on this forum was expecting that. well played Sussex and especially Bopara and also Mills with the decisive penultimate over. 2 players who gets lots of stick on here from many! It’s amazing how few comments there are when we win and play well compared to when we are poor! Still a mathematical chance to qualify which would be a minor miracle after the start we had. Just need to win heavily tomorrow and Kent and Essex both to lose heavily on Sunday. They are playing the top two so that could happen?! Anyway at least we have shown right and more of the talent in the squad over recent games.

Can somebody enlighten me as to why every team doesn’t play each other home and away ? That would seem the fairest system and plain common sense.
Is it fixture congestion caused by the wretched Hundred……

Is it fixture congestion caused by the wretched Hundred…… You would thinking fitting in two more games wasn’t impossible. We missed out on a home game with bottom-placed Middlesex, although we dodged a trip to table-topping Somerset. Make what you will of that. I still think if McAndrew and Shadab hadn’t collided in the field v Somerset, we could have qualified.
