Another little anecdote relating from my schooldays, after Luxton from Luton and that numpty tennis captain who underrated my tennis prowess leaving him with egg on his face. I found out that an erstwhile school buddy was prominent on Twitter. I couldn't really call him a mate although I used to sit next to him in Geogo and he would whisper the answers when Mr Haines was quizzing the class as I was as thick as mince. What endeared this chap to me was that he rebelled against the public school system and was expelled. Despite that he went on to Sussex University and became a freelance journalist amongst other things like running a successful company. Needless to say, that like most of the Twitterati he's pretty right on making the correct noises about the EU, immigration, public sector strikes and being anti Tory although, to his credit not tweeting endlessly about the LGBTQ nonsense. Not wanting to be contrary I wasn't argumentative and tried to make constructive comments. Nor did I want to be boring by harping back to schooldays 50 years ago! He quite often indulged me in twitter conversation and upvoted several of my tweets as well as giving warm words about my advanced cancer diagnosis, hopefully in remission. But one day I went on to make my usual erudite remarks and to my chagrin he's blocked me whilst I really wanted to make some insightful observations. And I cant find out why he's taken this spiteful decision

Don't know what's happened to Dan Hodges. His tweets on the state of politics, very non partisan, nearly always seemed to be on the money. He also tweets regularly on cricket and football.
Since his Mum's death (although she's appearing postumously in a film with Michael Caine - not a lot of people know that (ho)) he's been absent for a month, save one tweet about her demise.
