I looked at the County Championship tables as we are coming to the run-in. One stark fact jumped out at me.
In Division 1, there have been 43 games, 28 had a result, 15 were drawn - i.e. 65% of games had a result
In Division 2, there have been 35 games, 12 had a result, 23 were drawn - i.e. 34% of games had a result
That's a big difference. Is it because, as discussed on this forum, teams do not have bowlers capable of taking 20 wickets? Or, is it something else? Or, a freak of the weather? I'm curious.
