Theyve been winging it since announcing the squad. Under Morgan everything was clear, every player knew their specific role in the team and spent 4 years mastering it. We've not moved on in the 4 years since, but for the covid team and the Irish series squad its still pretty much the same team. It's hard to blame Mott but i do think Buttler was a terrible choice. Wright seems clueless too. |

This world cup shambles has been 100% caused by the hundred. There is a reason why no one else plays it and that because it's garbage. Whoever came up with the idea of the hundred deserves to be shot. The whole team needs to be replaced. They're a spent force.

And yet they’ve almost all already been given 2 or 3 year central contracts! Surely they should have waited until after the World Cup to consider who deserved that. Still, there are only 2 more weeks to endure and England still have something to play for … the slight possibility of beating the Netherlands. 🙄 |

Controversy in the game SL v Bangladesh.
Angelo Mathews was timed out, the first time that particular dismissal has been used in an international game. He got to the crease in time but as he put his helmet on the chin strap broke so he wasn’t ready for the first ball after two minutes. Seems a bit harsh to punish someone for equipment failure?!

Cricket has a funny way of biting you in the backside, he was captain when Buttler was Mankaded! Laws are Laws right Angelo? His 2 minutes were up before he noticed and he could have batted without the helmet, dont get me wrong it looks horrific for the game but for me poetic justice was served. |

The Aussies have silenced the 120,000 Indian fans in the stadium and outplayed the in-form team of the tournament. A good toss to win.

Enjoyed the Indians getting their deserved comeuppance.
Wish though it had been anyone bar the Cons administering the thrashing.
Mammoth stadium - seemingly an extraordinary 120k in attendance.

India must be kicking themselves to dominate 10 of 11 games and still not win it. Doesn’t feel entirety fair but for as long as Kohli is playing (and in spite of his phenomenal talent) I’m happy to see them disappointed.
Some pleasure too in seeing an ex-Sussex player playing the decisive innings. Travis Head had a miserable season with us but he’s a world class talent and I’m sure we’d be happy to see him back someday. The next series of The Test is going to be compulsive viewing.
