Still think our squad is too thin to realistically push for 1st or 2nd, especially the bowling reserves. Only need a couple of injuries to expose the youngsters again.

It all depends on how many games Oli Rob plays. Without him playing quite a few games then we have a worse squad than last season so don’t see how we go up
However if he is motivated and fit then we have a chance. Bit sad that it all comes down to Oli but it’s where we are I guess

Bit sad that it all comes down to Oli but it’s where we are I guess That and I think how our overseas perform will be key. Seales, Pujara and are test match standard performers and to have 3 of those in your starting XI is pretty exciting. |

I think this still rings true Joe, we did get incredibly lucky with injuries and having Ollie available most of the season. When we lost Lamb there wasnt much but luckily a couple stepped up with some performances but 2 or 3 more injuries and we were screwed. |

Having Ollie available was obviously a huge bonus and the overseas bowlers upped their games too. Bowling sides out twice had been where we’d struggled historically but this year it all came good. A year or two sooner than I thought it would but I’m not complaining! |
