Hughes out early. Fiddlesticks. Let’s hope Clark doesn’t forward defend his way through the pp.

Why did we bat first?

What a rubbish batting performance.

I would have preferred to see us stick to the blueprint that was successful in the quarter-final. Put the opposition in and restrict them to a low score. Five down and only 44 runs on the scoreboard. It will take something very special to rescue us from this position.

Oh fck
Things have generally gone our way from the word go in this campaign. Strong pp after strong pp. Today, they didn’t. And my god did we have no answer .

Start the car 🚗.
Not the day for our batters to have a complete melt down.
No dispute now, completely wrong decision to bat first.
Given how well Gloucestershire played in the quarter-final to defend just 138, you can't help feel their name might just be on the trophy.

This is a very hard watch. Batting first was brainless. I'd love to hear the logic behind that decision. I hope we can make it hard for Glos.

The toss hasn't really had any influence on the game, just been good bowling and poor batting. Based on how the first game went batting first was the obvious thing to do and Glos would have batted first if they'd won the toss also, it's just hindsighting to say it was the wrong thing to do.

I very strongly disagree. Batting has been difficult and therefore knowing what you are chasing is a huge advantage. Difficult batting conditions make it difficult to assess what a good score is. Also, why change the successful from the quarter final?

Our strength is in our bowling as demonstrated in our quarter-final. Batting wise, we rely heavily on our two opener's and Alsop. Yes, Gloucestershire have bowled well, but quite a few of our wickets were down to poor shot selection and not managing the game situation.

Yes - Alsop out to a beauty, Ward out to a full toss and FHP hit a ****ty delivery straight to a fielder etc. The toss was immaterial to any of those dismissals.
