Sounds like Sussex are still hungover from last night! They'll be lucky to reach 120 at this rate. Excellent bowling/fielding from Middlesex.

128 all out. A very hungover and scratchy performance. Pity given Robbo's team Hull are beating Arsenal 2-1 in the FA Cup.
This could all be over after 15 overs.

The criticism of HB is unfair - look at Machan Joyce and Zaidi. Look at their performances so far.

I saw a diabolical batting display with all but none giving their wicket away - as LM says, especially H-B who'd just hit a six. Brainless, and it's hard to believe the guy was once a captain. Wrong team selection, too many all-rounders (so called), and wrong order, why are we messing about with it already? We won't do much with that batting line-up. The whole thing stunk of poor preperation, captaincy and management. We didn't deserve to win yesterday and we don't deserve to win today. Good luck bowlers. Other than that, fraudster is a happy chappy.

So did you? Personally, I thought he batted with a significant amount of brains, compared to the rest of them, right to the point where he got out trying to smash it out the park just after we'd lost yet another wicket, with about nine overs left in the innings. So it was brainless, but not thoroughly. We still don't realise how long a 20 over innings is do we?

You moaners can eat humble pie. Morgan just out and it's truly game on. Brilliant fielding/bowling performance from Sussex and still 2 more overs left for Arafat. Reminds one of Sussex of old. Now another wicket. 4 overs left. 41 needed or 10 runs an over required from 24 balls. Piolet is the bowler we've been missing. Wahey! edit: 89-6. Typical that Ollie could be our demon.

So our fielders and bowlers have performed heroically, they weren't the complaint. Being saved and glossing over issues is poor leadership - so don't ever lead.

Bloody fantastic! Piolet in for Liddle and with Arafat a revelation, this is a winning Sussex team. fraudster eat humble pie. This was a brilliant performance from the lads. Their batting may have been suspect but Middlesex showed how tough the track was. What a start to the BLAST.

Sounds as if Middlesex bowled and fielded well, it's tough on them that we did it even better Well done Sussex, two out of two, and we've yet to get going

Sorry S&F but you are short-sighted. The criticism was about the batting, which I saw, and which was truly pathetic - there were no pitch, or good bowling, excuses. I repeat, don't ever lead, you are giddy.
So we've been saved by a great expedition of bowling, and some pretty decent fielding. A fairly lucky start to the campaign, we need to improve our batting tactics. We need to realise how long 20 overs is as a batting side.

I've watched both matches, and much as it hurts me to admit it ( ), I agree with the Fraudster's view of our batting performances and for the need not to get carried away. We are in danger of taking false comfort from these results.

Sorry, frawdy, I don't do 'carried away' unless it's something special.
