Meanwhile, Jason Roy takes the catch of all catches at the BPL. Do fielders have bionic hands these days?

Finally, the correct England selection. I dunno where to start with this. That wasn't the team selected. And if it was it would have been far from the right one.

Oh there's 12 players. See, not the right selection, you can only play 11.

It doesn't matter what team you select, England will collapse. Very strange times.

After the HUGE disappointment of missing out on the Big Bash League due to yet another injury - this time a hamstring - it is encouraging to see Tymal Mills back in the nets at Hove for pre-season training. Mill's signed team, the Hobart Hurricanes, whom Jofra Archer plays for, are riding high in the BBL 08 table and have already qualified for the semi-final round with two games to spare. It appears Mills wasn't required, after all, which must only rub salt in his wound. PS: Is that James Kirtley in the background of the video or are my eyes deceiving me? Sadly, his specialist sports clothing company MKK Sports Ltd is no-more, although he was able to sell his shareholding a year before the Company went bust back in late 2016. www.theargus.co.uk/news/14933895.sportswear-company-launched-by-cricket-legend-set-to-go-into-liquidation/An additional Sussex connection is that owner, Splice Investments, also owned Newbery Cricket who have premises at the Hove County Ground. A happy ending is that Newbery split from Splice at the end of 2016 and are successfully trading on their own. I visited the shop yesterday and discovered prices for their bat range begin at £120 for the Phantom and then head up towards £700 for the top names. Meanwhile in May 2016, Kirtley joined Bede's school as a bowling consultant and also enjoys other roles including part-time coaching for Sussex CCC and a position as bowling coach for the England Women's side.

I have a friend who lives in Hobart and he tells me that HH supporters were relieved when Mills was injured because he was such a liability last year that no one wanted him back including the coaching staff who had regretted giving him a 2 year deal!
To be honest I couldn’t care less whether he’s fit or not, he only bowls about 12 overs a year for us anyway.

Fb, I am sure Mills is already eyeing up the media as his next port of call after cricket. He enjoys the limelight, is a good-looking lad, and as you say has intelligence and makes some sensible comments. I actually admire Mills. To gain that £1.4m from the IPL was a coup and a half. He can thank Chris Gayle for 'allowing him' to york the West Indian at Hove back in June 2016. Hopefully, that money is wisely invested. The question is: How long will Mills want to carry on humiliating himself with his consistent injuries? I cannot imagine just how frustrated he must feel at times. England saw through him quite quickly. www.telegraph.co.uk/cricket/2017/02/20/tymal-mills-signing-14m-ipl-deal-royal-challengers-bangalore/

Those facing life after cricket often have great difficulty moving on to another career if they don't represent the elite who either sail smoothly into the media or a professional cricket coaching job. Sarah Taylor has no problem plotting a new course into the realms of mental health where Professor Albert Einstein's famous saying, "The only source of knowledge is experience” rings loud and clear. Sarah Taylor TwitterLittle proud of this 😊. I'm extremely passionate about helping others reach their goals and most importantly, achieve happiness. So this seemed like a good idea 🤓 👩🎓 📚www.bbc.co.uk/sport/av/cricket/47148501

No surprise Jofra Archer is the talk of the town after another top performance in the BBL. Will Sussex supporters see him much at Hove this season?

No, I have accepted that I will rarely see a Jofra put on a Sussex shirt again.
However, I will be very proud every time he puts on an England shirt.
As long as the England coaches do not ruin him, he will become one of the all time great cricketers.
