Why was Horsham moved from May? It now means we have no championship cricket at Hove for two and a half months during the height of the summer which is utter madness.

And if those on this board who want a reduction in the number of Championship matches get their way then Championship cricket at Hove will be almost extinct.

Changing the dates of Horsham also means that it clashes with Tunbridge Wells week, which always attracts a sizeable contingent of Sussex members and supporters, given that the Neville ground is less than half a mile from the Kent/Sussex border. Similarly a lot of Kent folk traditionally attend Horsham.
Traffic in both directions will be non-existant this year, alhough perhaps that's what Sussex wants, given its animosity to reciprocal arrangements between the two counties, and which forced Kent into a tit-for-tat.

It is sad that two of the best festivals clash again this year.(They did 2 years ago). However, I will hopefully get along to attend Horsham even if it is a session after work. Will hopefully get along to Hove despite Reciprocals no longer being free. I just want to watch cricket from the two teams I follow and enjoy watching!

Are there some rock concerts at Hove or something? I reminisce about how cricket used to be sometimes. It would be nice to go back in time to Eastbourne or Hastings. I sit in Priory Park sometimes and think about it. Living in Portsmouth I go to the Rose bowl or whatever they are calling it and it's a great place to watch international cricket but as a county venue it seems hollow.
