I have copied two sets of overlapping suggestions

Please feel free to make amendments - when we have something we think we can use I will make it so everyone can view but not amend

• This forum exists for the enjoyment of all lovers of cricket with a particular focus on Sussex cricket.
• It is open to all to comment as Members, subject to the usual principles of courtesy and respect for the views of those debating the topic.
• If you see a thread that you don’t like, because you don’t think its worthy of the board or it covers a topic or person that you personally object to, then either don’t continue reading the thread or report it to the Moderators if you think it is obscene, libellous or contravenes some other rule adopted by the community.
• There will be zero tolerance for trolls. Moderators may impose bans of whatever duration they feel is appropriate for sustained abuse, persistent hijacking of topics and other anti-social behaviours.
• DO NOT FEED THE TROLLS. Do not engage in response to their attacks: it only encourages them to escalate. Report any troll attacks to the Moderators for action.
• We welcome contributions from members of other forums and ask you to respect our principles as we would respect yours.
• Stick to the subject on a thread, small deviations are fine, but Moderators will take action if a thread is hijacked away from its original topic.
• Only one account per person is allowed and if multiple accounts are detected action will be taken.
• Users may choose as username and as screen name whatever they feel comfortable with, subject to the usual concerns for other people. Anything obscene or deliberately inflammatory will not be tolerated.

Rudeness, insulting others, personal attacks, threats or inflammatory posts should not be tolerated

Repeat, redundant posting to increase post counts should be discouraged

No advertising, spamming, solicitation or commercial self promotion should be allowed

Prohibit discussing any illegal activities

No posting of lewd comments, language or photos

No posting of misleading or irrelevant comments, stay on topic

No posting of disturbing material (benign images that suddenly change to a screaming face)

Limiting members to a single forum account is advised
