An extraordinary performance from Worthing's left arm Chinaman Nick Oxley who took 7-86 against Brighton and Hove today and in my opinion was somewhat unlucky not to be selected for the Academy for 2015 having taken 16 wickets last season. In Collard, Oxley and Rattle we have three Academy players in waiting. sussexcb.play-cricket.com/website/results/2356413

Decent figures for the lad, maybe he'll get a game with the seconds this week, with Zaidi injured and Beer involved with the firsts. Are there any left arm chinamen bowling in county cricket now?

Not that I am aware of. Paul Adams of South Africa was the best known of his craft. In Oxley, Collard and Rattle we have three fantastic spin bowling prospects which is why I am shocked that we felt the need to have to bring in Doram and Rawlins. We could have two players from Guernsey, and one from Bermuda, Jersey and Holland in the Sussex Under 17's, or should that be a World XI? It's absurd really! Likely starting XII: Haines (c), Nightingale, Jenner (+), Doram, Rawlins, Oxley, Smith, Twine, Fazakerley, Rattle, Collard 12th man: Piper Reserves: Clark, Haynes, Rollings, Sear, Billings, Orr, Lloyd, Maskell, Bradley, Hobbs Nightingale, Jenner, Doram, Rawlins, Fazakerley, Piper, Haynes, Sear, Lloyd and Maskell won't be eligible in 2016.

His first match was a success, but he didn't last long IIRC.

"...also, Dude, "Chinaman" is not the preferred nomenclature. Asian-American, please."

How did I forget him? In my defense it was about 5:30 in the morning when I was responding to Jonboy's message.
