Somerset (Taunton) 5-8 July Nottinghamshire (Horsham) 19-22 July Worcestershire (Worcester) 1-4 September Somerset (Hove) 14-17 September I suppose it could be argued that every game is crucial, and the first requirement is to stop losing, then to ensure at least 3 batting points are gained, and so on, incrementally. That in turn might telescope this set down to two games: getting at least a draw against Somerset at Taunton and defeating them at Hove in September.

We will need to play a lot better against Somerset than last year where we were beaten at Hove by an innings by two poor batting performances with the exception of Wells and Joyce and at Taunton where we lost the match by losing four wickets in four balls to Alonso Thomas. Our batsmen will certainly need to improve.
