Surprised that Mills is included given his injury problems. I wondered whether Mills was waiting for T5 to take off.

Machan, Robinson and Brown must be on the Lions radar too.

Expanding this thread to include all of the England Perfromance Programme selections for this winter:
England Performance Programme 2015-2016 Batting and spin camp in Dubai, 11th November – 1st December Zafar Ansari Danny Briggs Joe Clarke Daniel Bell-Drummond Ben Foakes Lewis Gregory Chris Jordan Dawid Malan Stephen Parry Tom Westley Ross Whiteley James Vince
Fast bowlers camp in Potchefstroom, South Africa, 11th – 23rd November followed by Dubai 24th November – 1st December Jake Ball Craig Miles Tymal Mills Craig Overton Jamie Overton Olly Stone
England Lions v Pakistan ‘A’ Twenty20 squad, Dubai 1st – 17th December Zafar Ansari Jake Ball Sam Billings Joe Clarke Daniel Bell-Drummond Ben Foakes Lewis Gregory Chris Jordan Dawid Malan Tymal Mills Stephen Parry Reece Topley Tom Westley David Willey Ross Whiteley James Vince (captain)
First reaction: what can a fast bowlers development "camp" (bonfire, jamborees, ging-gang-gooly?) fo for Tymal Mills that Mark Robinson and the Sussex medical staff cannot? What is the objective, to keep him bowling 4 over spells? Is that worth it internationally?
Second reaction: what is Jordan doing in the Batsmen and Spin bowlers camp?
Third reaction: Is Dawid Malan now considered English? And in what way is he regarded as in need of a Development place?

Machan, Robinson and Brown must be on the Lions radar too. Not one of them.....though conceivably they could argue that Machan is too closely identified with Scotland.

Those were the three things that immediately stood out for me too HH. And, what's Gregory doing in the batters/spinners camp? An odd one regarding Mills - possibly a promising one, who knows?
Think Brown can count himself unlucky.

It does seem a very odd bunch of players to me. Ross Whiteley?

Malan was born in England by the way, so I guess he was always eligible.

The one-day squad announced to play Pakistan A: no place for Danny Briggs and Tymal Mills has already come home saying how happy he is to have got through 2 T20s unscathed.
Meanwhile an opportunity for Craig Overton to display his customary tact and diplomacy and sense of sportsmanship.
James Vince (capt), Dawid Malan, Daniel Bell-Drummond, Tom Westley, Joe Clarke, Sam Billings (Kent) Ross Whiteley, Ben Foakes, Liam Dawson, Stephen Parry, Liam Plunkett, Tom Curran, Craig Overton, Jamie Overton, Toby Roland-Jones, Jake Ball
