Chris Jordan signed for Sylhet Superstars to play in Bangladesh Premier League, and Ajmal Shahzad and Matt Machan putting themselves forward for auction in the same tournament.

Not sure if it's been done on here before but it's good to keep track of the progress of our players (and former players) playing around the world this winter. Apart from the obvious of CJ's wonderful 'Super-over' yesterday, I'll start off with a couple: Jake Lehmann (In the 2XI last year) scored his maiden First Class hundred last week for South Australia v Tasmania in the Sheffield Shield - he went on to make 205! Playing against Lehmann was George Bailey who captained the Tasmania side, making 112 in the first innings but couldn't avoid defeat for his side. What do we reckon the chances are of either of these 2 being back next summer? I guess they'd have to be overseas so unlikely (particularly with Lehmann) Anyone else got any updates on our players playing abroad?

The only Sussex connection I can spot is Ashar Zaidi, he's having a great tournament for Comilla Victorians.

Zaidi is currently MVP in the BPL and having a fantastic time with bat and ball. His current strike rate with the bat is over 150 and he's only going for five an over with the ball. Cachopa, by contrast, is having a nightmare in the Georgie Pie Super Smash in NZ, and has now been dropped by Wellington after making 51 runs in his last six innings.

Another great piece of T20 bowling by Zaidi : four overs and 1-18 against a good Vikings batting side that included Dilshan and Umar Akmaal, both of whom made good scores but failed to collar Zaidi.
It looks like Sussex cocked-up by playing him in only one of the 14 T20 Blast games last season. In that solitary game he took 2-17 in four overs, at an economy rate of 4.5. Sussex's second most economical T20 bowler last season was Beer who went at 7.40 an over.

Hmm, James Faulkner or Glen Maxwell for me, though I'd give Katie Mack a go

He seems to have hot a wretched patch and I don't know what has gone wrong. When he first played for Sussex at Horsham in July 2014, and for sevarl games later that season, he looked a compact and quite wristy batsman, quite strong especially off his legs, and with an instinct for getting to the pitch of the ball. I didn't see enough of his batting last year to note any major technical failings, and his only successes of any kind were in T20 where he seems to have played the same 6 and out style innings every time. With the signing of Taylor it looks as if his best opportunity to re-establish himself this summer will not come until the late season games when Taylor is back with the New Zealanders. In the meantime Cachopa needs to dig himself out of whatever pit he has fallen into, or to move on quickly to somewhere else.
