I'm going for :
1. Sussex 2. Kent 3. Worcs 4. Essex 5. Leics 6. Glos 7. Derbys 8. Glamorgan 9. Northants
Can we say one point for each position that turns out to be right come September and see which poster wins?
As you can see I'm tipping both Kent and Leics, who have battled each other for the wooden spooon in recent years, to make a dramatic improvement. But I think Sussex have the best all-round squad and will be reinvigorated under Wright's leadership and liberated to play with more freedom post-Robinson.

Good idea and I second that suggestion. The highest scorer - and only that one, contrary to the Championship where second place will still win money even though no promotion place this year - will receive a prize, yet to be determined, at some point close to the end of the season. My own listing is: 1. Worcs 2. Sussex 3. Kent 4. Essex 5. Derby 6. Leics 7. Glos 8. Northants 9. Glamorgan I very much hope to be proven laughably wrong, but I think Worcestershire have much more experience of these tight promotion struggles and have a better record of getting the best from players of less than Test match quality - Shantry, Kervezee, Cox, Morris, even Mitchell have all surpassed themselves. Without assurance amongst the bowling and a strong opening partnership Sussex may not have quite enough to sustain themselves in a really hard fight, which is sure to happen. Wright is the perfect captain, I have no doubt, but I worry that he isn't going to be given quite the level of resources he needs. For the rest of I think its agreed that Kent, Leicester and Essex have all done great things in re-equipping themselves, and maybe Essex will prove us all wrong, but Northants and Glamorgan look to be the sick men of Division Two.

Impossible to predict for Sussex as, like previous years, it is primarily down to injuries.
Whether Davis can vanquish 'The Robinson Curse' we shall see but if Shahzad, Wright, Magoffin, Taylor and others can remain fit throughout the season, it is odds on Sussex should come out top. On paper, they have the strongest team even with no Hobden.
One is still concerned about the lack of keeper cover and even more concerned that no batting consultant has been appointed. At this late stage, perhaps, there isn't sufficient money in the coffers? But our batting was the main weakness in Division 1 and it is foolhardy to believe we don't require one in Division 2 just because the bowling is weaker.

I agree and with Cammish being released to Liecesters academy we don't have any backup lower down till you get to young Joe Billings at U17.

Hhs,
"Good fences make good neighbours!" (Robert Frost)
If the primary Sussex players remain injury-free then logic suggests Sussex should top the table. If not, and the seamers are once more cursed to break down and Luke and others gain niggling hamstrings thus softening their potency then third or fourth.
Down to Davis to break the injury curse.

My predictions are as follows:
1. Sussex 2. Kent 3. Essex 4. Worcs 5. Glam 6. Leics 7. Glos 8. Derby 9. Northants
Looking at pre-season bookies favourites in recent seasons. In 2012, Derbyshire somehow beat strong favourites Yorkshire. In 2014, unfancied Worcs looked certain outright winners only to rather blow up in the final matches, which allowed Hants to pip them. It does show the potential for an unfancied County to rather surprise everyone, particularly if they gain some early season momentum. However, I do think that in 2016 the bookies favourite (Sussex), with by far the best squad, will be Div 2 Champions by a margin of 25 or more points. A mere handful of points to separate Kent, Essex and Worcs. The remaining 5 counties to be also-rans, again not separated by many points. The 'wooden spoon' could easily go to any one of these 5 counties. Somehow hope that my prediction is wrong. If Sussex do end up running away with the Division then, with only one promoted team, we will end up with far too many meaningless matches.

Two of last year's Under 17's have joined Leicestershire Academy alongside Leo Cammish (Will Fazakerley and Tom Nightingale). www.leicestershireccc.co.uk/cricket/players/academy.html
