It's over. Official. The cracks have been papered over and we've limped on but we now know we can no longer carry on as we are. Talented players are consistently under performing. United in underachievement. Even the two who have hitherto risen above the abysmal norm, for that is what it is now, have finally succumbed. Potential replacements are, themselves mired in the mediocrity which is Sussex cricket. Kim Philby assures us that all is well and if we live by his definition of success, we join the rest of the staff as lost souls, desperate to contextualise rank performance. We are completely lost now. No hope, no salvation. So here's to you Mr Robinson.. Every way you look at this you lose.. It's being so cheerful as keeps you going, lawnmower.

You are a traitor, sir.
Haven't you been listening to the regular reassurances from Jim and Kim?
Do you not realise that those in charge of the squad are all ex-players, and only they understand the "family friendly" culture that makes SCCC special? We don't want outsiders spoiling the Sussex way of playing cricket.
Have some faith, lawnmower. The grass is always greener on the other side of the fence.

The grass is greener on the other side of the fence, which is one reason why I'm getting a higher fence. How could you know these things?I'm afraid someone grassed on you.

Boring and spoilt by years of success. We're under-performing but have a nucleus of a batting side many counties would envy. Stay up and try to rebuild the bowling attack and we'll be good again.

Produce better tracks, play positively, enjoy it and most importantly, get over the match fixing stuff, which is a dark cloud that's been hanging over us for a while. In fact, what's the crack with all that stuff? It needs to be put to bed - and never woken up.
I think I know who the funny guy impersonator is now. All this name changing has rung a bell.

Who will be the first player to help create the next era? James Tredwell. Craig Cachopa. Ed Joyce's twin sisters Cecelia and Isobel. Jonathan Prior. Nucleus of a new team for a new era there already...

Borderman's lost it - well it had to happen one day.
I hope we stick with Nasher in T20 stuff as skipper. Joyce and that form don't really go. This will be excellent experience for him for when he takes over the reigns in total.
