Shut it Flash. Our batting is so powerful, with more to come in, like Stokes. We're onto something special in one-day cricket with this team I believe. Just noticed Root's shirt number is 66, so at least one of them is a frigging comedian too. They got it all, wise guys. Possibly, though I think the bowling is pretty dodgy. Well done fraudster for being one of the very few people to even notice that this match/series/endless punchbag session against Sri Lanka was still going on. There are too many poor sides in international cricket and it doesn't help the domestic game or the national team to have most of May and June taken up with playing nonsense games and depriving the counties of their better players. I know that they get big crowds still, but most of that comes from the "prestige" of treating clients to a day's sport and entertainment and good marketing men ought to be able to work out other ways to help with the delicate art of ego-polishing. Maybe next year, or whenever the relaunch is scheduled now, they can sell exclusive blocks of seats for ther fashionable 50-over county game as the Spring Festival of one day cricket, with a build-up to a grand final adjacent to Wimbledon.

Jordan on form tonight, though beating Sri Lanka really should be a cup of tea.

Tea's up. SL are very poor these days and it's quite a shame. They've had some class acts over the last 20/30 years but they have nothing right now. England though, are looking better than ever. Our depth is very deep and this all has a multiple trophy winning feel to it, for me. Got rid of the Kolpaks and bang, look at us now. Or is it because of all the Kolpaks that we're better? I'm not sure.

We missed a trick tonight not playing Malan and likewise did in the test series by not blooding through Ball.
