Hhs, The Walkabout is where you can retrieve balls from Gayle's many 6s tonight. Fb, I thought some county cricket members were still using VHS to record matches?

I'd be very surprised if Luke didn't play. There are only 6 batters named in the squad, if Luke was doubtful I think Salt would have been named. Which begs the question - why have two spare bowlers in the squad and no batsmen when there's a risk of Luke suffering a reaction? Salt is playing for the seconds just down the road at Eastbourne, so I don't think you need worry: if Wright suffers a reaction in the warm-up, Salt will be able to take his place - you are not restricted to only picking players in the squad. Similarly if Brown suffered an injury, Cachopa would be drafted in. I guess it was considered more beneficial for both of them to get some game time and hopefully score some runs than to hang around for briefings and warm-ups for a match which they aren't playing in...

Thanks for clearing that up bm. It could prove a good ploy to have some fielders positioned in Eastbourne if Gayle gets going.

This T20 game will have to be special to top the excitement of the CC game between Worcs and Glos which has just ended with Klinger and Jack Taylor both hitting centuries and winning the game by putting on 179 runs in 23 overs - and that's without legside wides and fielding restrictions.
Glos go second and only three counties are still undefeated in div two - Essex, Kent and Sussex.
on edit: Klinger the best value overseas signing currently playing county cricket? Discuss...

Chris Gayle arrives at Hove with what can only be described as a small boat.

Idiots have gone in with six bowlers and four batters. What is it with us and balance? Tail like a gator.

No. Four batters and Brown, an all rounder. Ultimately we have six bowlers who you can expect to bowl four overs - it's too many and a waste. It's all well and good having six or seven bowling options but not at the expense of the batting. These people making decisions are the experts though, apparently, so I must be wrong. Good start for us anyway. Of our four batters Wright and Nash are a lethal opening pair. Never heard of their openers.

What an innings by Wright - my goodness, what we have been missing!
And now he's in the Sky pod giving a great interview.
His return should transform Sussex's season. He's the mojo of this side, no question.

T20 spectators have different priorities, and possibly a low boredom threshhold. This Tweet a minute ago, just after the 15th over when Wright and Taylor were out and Sussex aiming to build a really big score:
@sussexccc who's actually going to. @walkaboutbn1 after? Wanna share a cab? #SharksTogether

These Overton boys are not nice. Not nice at all. The potty-mouthed racist one (Craig) who abused Zaidi was diplomatically left in Taunton for this fixture. But the other one (Jamie) gave Nash a right mouthful as he celebrated his century. I couldn't lip read, but was he saying something like, "You white ****, I know people who werent' even born here that I like more you" ?

Gayle bowled by a Mills yorker timed at 93.3 mph...
What we have missed part two, eh?
Sky commentary has just said he's going to play in the 50 over cup next week - so perhaps his remarks about taking it one step at a time - fours overs, then ten overs and then four day cricket in 2017 is on target...

Well that was very impressive, unbalanced or otherwise. Mills was dynamite, he blew Gayle away - makes you wonder why England were *****ing about with Topley at the T20 World Cup. All were very good but Wiese impressed me too. Our attack looks to have everything. Nash and Wright lethal and consistent up top, brilliant.
