Thanks to joe for an excellent suggestion ( unofficialsussexccc.freeforums.net/post/18578) which I have tweaked a little to give us some entertainment. There are a series of options from the optimistic "Sussex are hopeful the 20-year-old will be available to make his debut against Gloucestershire at Arundel Castle on June 26" to the fatalistic "I doubt from this whether we will see him at all." Voting is open until Monday night 13th July

Sorry to be awkward, but if he comes, I reckon his first game would be Hants at home on July 15. But I've rendered the argument about dates irrelevant by voting 'not at all'. That way if he does ever show up , we can be pleasantly surprised... Not sure about "voting is open until 13th July." That sounds far too decisive. It might have been more appropriate to say, "We hope to hear when voting closes some time within the next four weeks".

I've voted 'not this year'
I was excited when I heard he would coming to Hove and thought it a very good signing. Now I'm not so sure. I don't think he is needed in our T20 squad as he is a definite No 11, our tail is long enough as it is and Mills is as good if not better. In the RLOD we have brought Garton in who, although raw, has impressed with his variation and pace and is taking wickets.
Thanks but no thanks.

Noted borderman, but wearing my moderator hat I don't think there's any fun in an open-ended poll. Unlike the Mr Fizz story this one will not run and run.

It was a joke (obviously not a very good one!), hence the smiley thing. To be serious for a moment, I suspect there will be an announcement at the end of two weeks further rehab/tests/rest. The BCB to tell us that unfortunately he won't be coming sometime in the last week of June is my best guess.
